Distribution of the Zinza Calendar began recently. It was a special treat for the Zinza people, because each month featured a Bible passage written in their language. Many have never seen their language in print before, let alone Bible verses translated into it!
You may not think having a calendar is very exciting, but these “sold like hot-cakes”! We met a woman at one church on Izumacheli Island. It was her first time seeing the Zinza language in print. She was so proud to be able to read it, that she read the Bible verses on all twelve months to me.
Her husband was so impressed (and surprised) that he bought a calendar for her right away!
